It is like having enemy agents executing sabotage against our country. We need to come up with a self defense plan appropriate for enemy agents.
I don’t see any mention of the several months long blow out in Southern California of a methane well operated by a west coast natural gas producer and distributor.
The local effects of this blowout include people in a nearby community being driven out of their homes by the smell from the odorant [mercaptin] as well as the effects of sustained exposure to high levels of methane in the local air [nausea, vomiting, headache, and other maladies].
This was a major event and the extent of the environmental effects should provide important data as to the actual effects of methane in the environment and at what level these effects become of enough concern to ~require~ action to be taken.
The current obsession with low levels of a gas that is produced by every ruminant [cows and similar]on the planet and every midden heap and compost pile is an indication of ill-informed insanity.
The hope is that the new POTUS is not a global warming alarmists, and will repeal any laws dealing with the fraudulent claim that CO2 released into the atmosphere from burning fossil fuels.
Question: The UN IPCC claims that a doubling of CO2 from 400ppm to 800ppm will cause the earth’s temperature to rise 2C degrees.
The increase in CO2 is 400ppm. That is, 1 part in 2500. How can 1 molecule of CO2 “trap” enough “heat” to raise the other 2499 molecules of Nitrogen [N2]. and Oxygen [O2] 2C degrees???
