  1. I wouldn’t be surprised if a majority of Americans believe in socialism as the best economic model for success, either. Or that communism should have a negative connotation. Or that the Constitution as the Founders wrote it is relevant or necessary.

I could go on, but we all know what direction the U.S. and world in general are headed.

  2. Nuclear power is safe enough. France seems to enjoy it. Earthquakes and tsunamis on the other hand are unsafe. Maybe everybody would be happy if we went back to living in caves and eating bark in the dark?

  3. The same crowd also fears hydro-electric power which has no emissions, is practical, reliable and can even be harnessed with minimum disruption as opposed to wind and solar.

  4. Good illustration of why democracies are doomed. Once again proving the old H.L.Mencken quote I forget exactly how it goes but something like “No one ever went broke by underestimating the taste or intelligence of the American public.”

  5. Sad but true. Typical low information citizen…more interested in their phone and social media than in what is going on outside their little circle. If you are an AGW true believer you should embrace nuclear power as the only alternative (carbon-free) power source for your electronic toys.

  6. I like safe, reliable and affordable energy. Unfortunately, western democracies have made nuclear energy un-affordable with all the hoops required for licensing. Cheap natural gas is killing nuclear power just as its killing coal.

  7. There’s some sort of mass insanity gripping America, in fact much of the world. This is an example of evidence of that. Trump is another example.
