  1. Polar bears can run a lot faster on the rocks than seals.
The seals are actually at a big disadvantage and the bears have an easier time getting dinner.
We have more bears in Northern Canada than ever. They are doing fine thank you.

  2. Too bad that Mr. Copeland wasn’t there weeks and months before the bear died so he could see exactly what was going on in the bear’s life, rather than speculating on what happened with some silly photograph. Perhaps the seals have developed bows and arrows to hunt bears. 🙂

  3. I picked up a copy of National Geographic in the waiting room and decided to look at it out of boredom. Normally I wouldn’t have bothered, but this issue touted “Great vacation places!” But as I read through the issue, there was nothing about the sights, history or accommodations of these “vacation places”. It was only about “How global; warming was destroying these places!”

  4. “…harder for bears to hunt seals?” Do you think the seals are complaining about that?

By the way, they always make polar bears look cuddly. Find pictures of what a polar bear looks like after a meal. The blood and guts do not look cuddly.
