Hmmm. A barrel of oil makes about 22 gallons of gasoline (and some other stuff). So … $10 per bbl works out to 45 cents/gal if only applied to petrol. If applied to everything made from that oil, then 25 cents per seems reasonable. Since when have taxes been reasonable?
And who benefits? Just the green cronies pushing solutions that won’t work for problems that don’t exist.
Politics as usual.
“…make a point, not policy,…”??? Tax increases, regressive in this case, ARE the policy, and have been!!!
