This topic could get to be very interesting. Could it be that the Egyptian dark ages event that the Bible chronicles in the story of Joseph in Genesis could have been due to a famine that was caused by an extended period of El Nino that resulted in drought in the Ethiopian Highlands (the source of most of the water in the Nile.)
