  1. Eagles were also shot out of the sky in Alaska for bounty. and Poison 1080 was used in baited meat for some animals and eagles .

  2. In fact, the newspaper article pre-dates the discovery of DDT’s insecticide properties by 10 years! Thus, DDT wasn’t even in use as an insecticide.

  3. To date there has been no conclusive evidence presented showing DDT threatened any animal species, bugs excluded. DDT was banned for political reasons due to a book of fiction (Silent Spring).

  4. “…species like the flamingo, the California condor, the trumpeter swan and the whooping crane are definitely lost…” not. I guess human beings aren’t so bad after all
