This journal is called the “New Scientist”. After reading this ridiculous article, “New” must mean “born yesterday”. There is no area with an average temperature of 5 C except at high altitude and I doubt an Guinea Pigs live there. Not withstanding that error, is has long been known that some genes are turned on and off due to environmental changes. This would not be considered Lamarckism but standard genetics.
Normal ambient temperature below 5C ?????? what the hell is that -5C or less or what ? and really I would thing ambient temp in South America would be more then that plus where in south America did that get the pigs from ?
