Satellites WERE the gold standard, according to Hansen, UNTIL they stopped supporting his catastrophic warming trope. Then they became a footnote of disagreement and a tool of the opposition!
Only the third?!? I was sure it was the warmest in the history of the universe from all the hype. All the snow outside must be a figment of my imagination.
