  1. This seems to me to be an eminently workable and sensible plan, with just one cost saving modification.
    Instead of having to install a lot of remote operated circuit breakers, save the expense and just dispatch crews of linemen to perform a “permanent disconnect” to the federal facilities.
    Reduces load on a permanent basis therefore allowing a lot of those nasty coal-fired power plants that the federal regulators are trying to shut down to be put in mothball status.
    A win – win for the peepul!

  2. Excellent idea, tadchem! That’s a state plan, right there. Have to install a lot of remote-operated circuit breakers, but if it saves just one trillionth of a degree of global warming…

    it’s worth it.

  3. Simple plan: cut off service to non-residential, non-industrial, non-commercial users exempt from state taxes. Do the math: that would be ‘Federal offices’. Let our federal government lead by example – even if it is involuntary.
