When will that software be available to the public as an aftermarket upgrade?
It could save people much aggravation and cash.
I am still not sure if VW did anything wrong. If the requirements are that the vehicle pass the test – they succeeded. If the requirements are that the car operate at those emission levels while on the road, then they cheated. Somehow, I suspect the law is that the vehicle pass the emissions test, which they did by being clever.
