What did Exxon know and when did it know it?

The Los Angeles Times is trying to make the case that Exxon went from being a “leader” on climate change to being a skeptic. A few points:

  • Exxon didn’t predict the 18-year long pause either.
  • The notion of greenhouse gas-caused warming goes back to Svante Arrhenius (circa 1896). So it’s not like Exxon was ahead of the curve.
  • It’s odd how climate alarmists now all of a sudden believe Exxon.

The one thing Exxon did know is that getting rid of fossil fuels would be disruptive.
