  1. I don’t think we’ll see a lot of new coal plants. For the moment, natural gas is cheaper than coal. Easier to extract. Easier to transport. Burns cleaner. Costs less.

  2. Close the Coal plants down and listen to the howls from the highly populated east coast and then the lake States. Electric rates will go up by 3 or 4 times – AC was $ 200 per hot month now $ 600 or $ 800? Then how about heating costs now at $ 600 to $ 800. Yes, the E=GREENS will be run out of the those States in hours not days.
