New Blood Pressure Guidelines Released–Not much

Nothing here but some noise.

So they make a big splash about new recommendations and I don’t see much difference at all.
The recommendations of diastolic/systolic are the same as they were 30 years ago. Keep diastolic below 90 systolic below 140.
For those over 60 years of age, allow for systolic of 150.
Quit the recommendations for more stringent BP rules for diabetics.

  1. If the nurse is hard of hearing my systolic is much closer to my diastolic. The most consistent readings are from machines.
