IPCC gives up on manmade hurricanes as 2013 global hurricane activity remains historically low

Weatherbell reports:

• North Atlantic tropical cyclone ACE is 71% below normal. 5th lowest since 1950.
• Northern Hemisphere ACE is 55% below normal. Lowest since 1977.
• Global ACE is 47% below normal. Lowest since 1977.

Meanwhile the IPCC has “low confidence” that global warming will make more or more intense hurricanes. From the IPCC’s Summary for Policymakers (click to enlarge):

  1. I assume that eventually the warmists will find some “evidence” that the lack of hurricanes are the result of AGW and most importantly that hurricanes are an essential part of the environment and the lack of them is causing serious damage to the earth, sea life and the land environment. After all every setback, every contrary fact must be refuted and turned to their advantage.

  2. Rather amusing to watch TWC with hardly any tropical activity this year. They have to bring up past disasters to try to keep the hype going.
