  1. There’s good arguments to the effect that the logging booms coming out of the little ice age are exactly why CO2 got so unusually low to begin with.

  2. Thanks for the reminder. It just reinforces his ignorance, but you might wonder how many people understood the remark.

  3. The best form of “carbon capture” is knocking down old growth forests, using the wood for useful things (not to fuel power stations in England), and replanting.
    But that would not only be logical, it would also follow actual scientific and economic principles, and we can’t have that happening.

  4. If you listen to the speech carefully, he actually claims there are sixty states.

    He visited 57 and had one more to go (58) and his handlers wouldn’t let him visit Alaska or Hawaii (60)

  5. And this is the guy who champions the wonders of his healthcare law which goes into effect shortly in all 57 states.
