Greenwire reports:
The American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity today announced the hiring of former Hill Democratic staffer Laura Sheehan to serve as senior vice president for communications.
Sheehan replaces Evan Tracy, who left ACCCE as the group reorganized its messaging goals and strategies after the November elections (E&E Daily, June 5).
“ACCCE is very excited to add a talented leader and communicator like Laura to our team,” said CEO Mike Duncan. “Laura’s knowledge and experience will be a great asset as ACCCE continues to preserve and promote coal-based electricity.”
Sheehan was most recently managing director of public relations and marketing giant Burson-Marstellar’s Washington, D.C., public affairs practice. She has also been senior vice president for public affairs for the American Gas Association.
