Ecowatch reports:
Connie Hedegaard has urged the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the World Bank to take a lead role in eliminating public finance support for fossil fuels.
Although all three of the banks have policies aimed at encouraging lending to renewables and energy efficiency, in practice fossil fuel projects continue to benefit from their support.
DOE is also in charge of our nuke weapon development. Never quite understood why. But we can’t shut it completely down, but for the defense programs in the department.
Close the EPA, the Endangered Species act and the DOE down – then return the land to the States and the power to develop the natural resources. Let States use these powers to create full employment. There is no alternative to oil/gas/nuclear in the foreseeable future.
