Carbon is a lousy reason for any policy. Even if the policy is valid, and any policy with “carbon” in the name is probably stupid, the policy should be validated on its merits instead of a chimera.
Taxes are a problem for any economy — necessary but drags. The cap-and-trade may be even worse than a carbon tax.
