Efforts to curb global warming have quietly shifted as greenhouse gases inexorably rise.
The conversation is no longer solely about how to save the planet by cutting carbon emissions. It’s becoming more about how to save ourselves from the warming planet’s wild weather.
When it looks like the skeptics are winning, don’t take too much credit. Mid-2011, the two major US environmental grant-coordinating groups got together and decided to shift the focus of their approximately $2.5 Billion annual grant outlays for activism. To avoid ‘donor fatigue’ and avoid working at cross-purposes on campaigns, they agreed to move their focus away from climate change, ozone and CFCs etc., and toward food and agriculture.
So when it looks like skeptics are winning, consider also that $2.5 Billion annually has moved away from supporting warmist activists and gone elsewhere.
Nothing’s changed.
They still want money.
