Below are Obama’s remarks pertaining to climate change made in Berlin today:
Peace with justice means refusing to condemn our children to a harsher, less hospitable planet. The effort to slow climate change requires bold action. And on this, Germany and Europe have led.
In the United States, we have recently doubled our renewable energy from clean sources like wind and solar power. We’re doubling fuel efficiency on our cars. Our dangerous carbon emissions have come down. But we know we have to do more — and we will do more. (Applause.)
With a global middle class consuming more energy every day, this must now be an effort of all nations, not just some. For the grim alternative affects all nations — more severe storms, more famine and floods, new waves of refugees, coastlines that vanish, oceans that rise. This is the future we must avert. This is the global threat of our time. And for the sake of future generations, our generation must move toward a global compact to confront a changing climate before it is too late. That is our job. That is our task. We have to get to work.
Of course he forgot to mention how “his” bad economy has reduced driving miles, flying miles, manufacturing output, which have lead to much less energy usage. The one real strong sector in the US is natural gas and oil production ,the exact things he is against. Amazing.

When Obama was running for President the first time there was a lot of talk about his colour. I wrote to a columnist here and said his colour did bother me. Not because he is black but because he is so very green. Seems i was right to worry. He is determined to drive America over the cliff and take everyone else with them. Green tariffs come to mind.
If there were any truth in Anthropogenic Global Warming, then we would have a responsibility to find less-warming ways to meet our needs and wants. If that were true, our leaders would have a responsibility to call us to action.
But all the evidence we have says AGW is false and that the costs of attempting to ameliorate global warming are greater than any expected costs from global warming. Heck, global warming may well be a net positive in any case.
Obama and people like him are fantasists and charlatans and some are both. In order to constrain how I live, because Obama and Gore will have all the energy they want, he and his ilk are happy to condemn the really poor to abject poverty and the spiritual stifling that goes with it.
How did he get a reputation of caring about people? ‘Cuz he didn’t earn it, that’s for sure.
