Obama in Berlin: ‘Our dangerous carbon emissions have come down, but we know we have to do more. And we will do more’

Reuters reports:

President Barack Obama said on Wednesday the United States understood it had to do more to fight climate change and he pledged that more action was coming.

“Our dangerous carbon emissions have come down, but we know we have to do more. And we will do more,” he told a crowd of cheering Germans in Berlin.

Obama is expected to announce new U.S. measures to fight global warming in the coming weeks.

  1. Oh, what our voters have done to us.
    1. Carbon dioxide emissions are safe rather than dangerous, having too small an effect on climate to be worth consideration.
    2. Carbon dioxide emissions are down for two reasons: greater energy efficiency, which is a valid concept, and economic stagnation, which is very bad for the poor.
    3. If we “do more” about carbon dioxide emissions, we will waste resources that could improve standards of living. Once again, the poor will lose the most.
Obama is, as usual, factually wrong and fatuously sure of his program.
