I am a retired scientist (PhD) and CAGW skeptic and have been for 25 years (since I worked on the “methane project in the Hudson Bay Lowlands” in 1990)……but I have a simple question about volcanoes as CO2 sources…..USGS says less than 1% of CO2 emissions come from volcanoes (terrestrial and marine combined), but Plimer says something in the order of 80% comes from volcanoes (it’s difficult to get an estimate from Plimer’s books and writings)…..presumably it should be simple to resolve this huge discrepancy…..either the USGS or Plimer has to be quite wrong
