  1. Spring here in the High Plains is a wildly variable thing. We had a nice outdoor shoot the last Saturday in April, but that Monday I was shoveling snow off my car. We were three inches behind average rainfall to date until Friday, now we’re only about an inch and a half behind. Normal for this area.
Speaking of which: I wish weather people would realize that “average” is not necessarily “normal” or “good”. Our local weather people keep saying, “We’re three inches behind where we should be” based on the average but the average is statistical, not normative. To paraphrase Heinlein: “Weather is as Uncle the MIghty wills it.”
