No government official, including the local dogcatcher, has any business telling rating agencies what to consider.
Bond ratings are supposed to be independent estimates of risk. Inconvenience to political agendas, left or right, are pretty much the whole point.
Rathings made under threat aren’t worth a damn.
I have trouble with the idea that Bloomberg, mayor of one of America’s worst-budgeted cities, has any business telling any other city about their bond ratings. I do hope bond agencies ignore these two.
