Pipelines have been the safest mode of transporting liquids and DOT statistics bear this out. The Alyeska Pipeline has operated for 40 years without major incident. Some idiot shot the line with a rifle a few years ago and the spill was limited to a couple hundred barrels. The KeystoneXL pipeline will not be constructed in an environment as harsh as the Alyeska. So people need to start thinking about important things like the economy and employment and stop listening to the rants of idiots.
