Europe has a passel of bureaucrats like him. And a drowning currency. Coincidence?
This is a bad sign for America. He might be okay for a European energy bureaucrat, but not for us.
“Personnel is policy.” Obama is a pixie-dust-unicorn-hair energy guy. He believes that Congress and federal agencies have authority over the laws of physics and economics, so he will continue to appoint people who believe like he does and to push policies he wants. Every president does.
That’s why a Republican majority in the House is so important for now. There are Dems who vote wisely and Reps who vote foolishly, but the trend is the other way.
