Hair spray targeted by Utah air pollution regulators: ‘There will be a lot of angry women’

“This just wrecks the hair spray and it doesn’t help the inversion.”

From the Deseret News:

“[Utah scientist Joel] Karmazyn said of that amount, household products like oven cleaner and laundry detergent contribute 2,377 tons and personal care products such as deodorant and hair spray are blamed for 2,509 tons a year.

“Hair spray is a major portion of that,” he said. “People think because it is a spritz here and a spritz there that it is hardly nothing. It is not insignificant.”

  1. It was the same Greenie Movement that insisted a while back that an inert and harmless propellant in all spray cans (Freon) be replaced with a flammable (but otherwise harmless) propane. A never-ending attack on spray cans.

  2. Come on gals, it’s time to shave above the bikini line. Go bald and save the planet. If you use it on your armpits, shave there too.

  3. This could end the Greenie Movement once and for all as 80% of all women will vote against any politician who utters the word “green”.

  4. It does tell: “volatile organic compounds”. That’s a hint at propane or butane used as propellant.

  5. The article doesn’t tell us what the heinous chemical in the aerosol spray is.

    CO2?
