Campbell Soup reduced the salt in many of their soups (with labels announcing the change). Now, after sales tanked, they’ve put the salt back into most of their products (but the labels only say “improved flavor”…)
But the flavorless soup could easily be fixed with a couple shakes of the salt shaker…
My mother-in-law was an anti-salt freak. After moving to a new home in a new state (several years ago), she had some strange symptoms — and the doctor prescribed salt pills — as she had a shortage of salt in her system! (The change in climate caused a greater loss of salt from her system through natural processes.) I thought I’d die of laughter when I heard that one!
Hypochloremia and Hyponatremia. Because your government loves you.
Does that mean I’m going to have to show ID to get a box of salt?
