I personally know people who have experienced severe losses and had to pull out from everything “renewable”. Some lost everything they had. None of them admits his own stupidity; they all blame “climate deniers”.
Eliminiating the conventional energy sector from your investment options is a perfectly good way to insure below market returns as well as missing out on the best energy market booms in decades. Reality really should intrude on McKibben’s movement. McKibben shouldn’t bother coming to Texas as it’s investment policy won’t change for him.
