There’s a lot of similarities between the First and Second Amendments. Here’s one: ‘Shall make no law’ and ‘shall not be infringed’ basically say, ‘you don’t have to like [guns or free speech], you just have to put up with it’.
LaPierre has it exactly right. Personally I don’t like the guy’s public speaking style. He comes across as kind of greasy and looks distracted. But he doesn’t need to win an Oscar for his podium work. Being right is good enough.
