Not really, Kay. Entergy, the utility that owns the generation to the stadium, is a gas company, not a coal company.
But the electricity generated at the Superbowl was from a coal-based power plant. And the electricity still went out 🙂
I think we’ll find out that the electricity went out because of equipment failure, rather than a lack of the use of coal 🙂
