  1. And don’t forget, as a commenter over at WUWT so nicely pointed out, Ms Davenport asked a totally backwards question on the PBS Frontline Climate of Doubt program last October: “do you think that climate change is causing the earth to become warmer?” http://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/10/23/pbs-frontline-climate-change-special-cites-bogus-consensus/#comment-1121469

This same backwards question was the central premise of her lengthy 2011 article, it turns out, where she repeats it no less than 6 times: http://www.nationaljournal.com/magazine/heads-in-the-sand-20111201

We are all so used to the stuff surrounding the warmer = climate change narratives that her nuance slips right by, but this one is embarrassingly glaring once you do see it. So, if this is the quality of reporting on AGW at the National Journal, it isn’t saying much.

  2. Yakking about what the polls show has always been perceived as a sure way to affect the polls, for as long as there were polls. I don’t know if it really works or not, but apparently it does not hurt to do so.

  3. Mizz Davenport is a doe in the headlights. Rapturous and ill-informed.

“Polls show that a growing number of Americans accept that human activities are causing the planet’s atmosphere to warm and setting off harmful effects”

    Nope, they show the opposite.

She assigns great value to what Obama said, not comprehending that Obama is an empty suit, just reading what’s on the teleprompter.
