Sorry, I’m not buying it. Just as industrial money (mostly in the form of direct paychecks) does not corrupt our own cause, taking money from the WWF for a sustainability confrence does not corrupt his. It needs to be a declared conflict of interest, but it does not preclude his ability to serve as chairman of the IPCC.
I guess that a convergence of interests precludes a ‘conflict of interests’ – in their minds, anyway. That’s the beauty of being an ideologue instead of a responsible agent. Accountability becomes irrelevant.
Organizations like WWF, NDRC, Sierra Club, etc., need to have their tax exempt status taken way in this country. They should receive any tax dollars either.
