“The energy company EDF is seeking more than £5m in damages from a group of more than 20 activists who occupied one of its power stations for a week last year, in an action campaigners claim could stifle the right to protest across the country.”

The ecological warriors’ mantra has been “sue! sue! sue!” for years. Now that they are facing the same response from their victims, it’s suddenly “unfair?”
You can protest all you want, but your right to do so does not shield you for the consequences of your actions. If you damage property or prevent the normal operation of a business, then you will be expected to reimburse them for their losses. This is common sense.
