Bill introduced to limit US funding for IPCC

“Following last night’s State of the Union Address in which the president pledged to implement a job-killing climate change agenda, U.S. Rep. 1. W Bill: ” heal themselves ” does not apply if your only goal is to preserve your gravy train and act as an advocate for wealth redistribution. In this case a true healing would be to admit their job is a waste and go home.

  2. A simple answer–that was not the justification for the shock and awe. “Rational” means what? In whose mind?

  3. One would hope that truly ludicrous endeavors would heal themselves through rational presentations in democratic venues.
I have to admit however that the United States itself fails the rationality test. Our government knew that the Aluminum tubes purchased by Iraq had the wrong length and the wrong diameter for centrifuges and that the coating of the tubes was incompatible with Uranium separation, yet our government still used the Aluminum Tubes as justification of Shock and Awe against Iraq.

  4. So, Westchester Bill, never stop funding anything no matter how ludicrous in the hope that the organization will someday be productive? When corruption is present, how about some penalty like defunding or abolition since these people are unelected bureaucrats and so immune to getting thrown out of office?

  5. The withholding of tax payments and acts of that type are pernicious to collective endeavors, whether it is well meaning pacifists resisting war or religious people protesting contraceptive policy.

The IPCC was to provide the best science about global warming that is now climate change. It makes great sense to have such a policy adviser. The corruption of the IPCC has been establish and it is likely that future work of the IPCC will have higher quality. For example the soon to be 2 decade pause in global warming is established.
