Likely some of this prediction actually came true. After all, cold events *do* kill people, and we’ve had more than a few of them since ’74…
The problem with the “coming ice age” was that there was no imperative for the left to take complete control of the economy and impose “social justice”. Global warming does a much better job as it allows the left to criticize business and to demand decreases in economic activity. Of course, global warming became climate change once the warming stopped.
What has always been transparent about the green movement is that the solution for every ill required government control of the economy and “social justice.” Not once has a free market solution ever occurred to these leftists — but THAT is the point.
I can’t recall: when did it mutate from “climatic changes” to “Climate Change”. There must have been a climactic event in between.
