Obama: U.S. ‘Short of the Ideal’ in Afghanistan

From our American-Hater-in-Chief. Would like to hear him say that to the families of those who sacrificed life and limb for no personal advantage.

“‘So, you know, I think that, have we achieved everything that some might have imagined us achieving in the best of scenarios? Probably not. You know, there’s a human enterprise, and you know, you fall short of the ideal,’ said Obama.” [Weekly Standard]

  1. If it were up to me (it isn’t) I would leave a contingency of covert operatives that took out Taliban guerrillas like bed bugs.

Respond with “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

  2. He’s going to leave a tiny contingent of trainer/advisors stuck out on a limb someplace back of beyond, and they’ll be wiped out by some Taliban warlord because being only trainers, they won’t need weapons or ammo, and air support will be hundreds of miles away on a carrier in the Persian gulf or the Indian ocean. Then it will be “What else could we have done?”

  3. This is called ‘tempering expectations’. After a few more months of speeches like this, he will be able to yank all support for a free, independent and stable Afghaistan, and when it all falls apart will simply shrug and say “Them’s the breaks.”
