“While searching for something else, I came across this entertaining collection of grand predictive failures related to resources and climate change, along with some of the biggest predictive failures of Paul Ehrlich. I thought it worth sharing.”

Seriously, it is the human condition to want to know the future. We have always had the arrogant elite that claim to possess knowledge denied to mere mortals, (gnostics). In days of yore the seer would peer intently into her crystal ball or their hands would guide the pointer on the ouija board, or they would shuffle and stack the deck of tarrot cards.
But we have progressed from superstition to “science”; now they peer intently into the monitor and their hands skillfully guide the mouse and keyboard and they use decks of stacked “data”; nonetheless, the results are the same.
We’ve been out of all these things for decades, we are just too stupid to know it. We need to go the University and listen to the “perfessors”.
