“Ten years from now, maybe there will be some export capacity on the West Coast, but for right now, what we have is completely full and what has been proposed is probably dead — and not even dead in the water, just dead.”

Eh, touching on Tester in the Senate, we had a Libertarian with 6% of the vote. If you gave his 6% to the Republican, the Republican would have won. Hard to call that.
Brian Schweitzer and Jon Tester, former governor and current senator, are both flaming liberals in a state where they have to keep their flames somewhat under a bushel. For all of his fondness for jobs, Gov Schweitzer is a granola-crunching tree-hugger. Sen Tester runs an “organic” grain farm.
Montana’s electorate is seriously mixed up. We elected a Schweitzer-like dem for governor, returned Tester to the Senate but Republican Steve Daines to the House, and elected large majorities of Republicans to the state legislature chambers. If you can explain that, clue me in. It makes me dizzy.
