A cooling climate for junk energy.

“Investment in clean energy projects dipped 11 per cent last year, according to new figures from Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF), which confirmed the $268.7bn invested still made 2012 the second most successful year on record for the global clean energy sector.” [The Guardian]

  1. A comment on the meaning of words. ‘Investment’ classically meant, with some degree of risk admittedly, I expect to get my money back and a bit more besides. In the green economy ‘Investment’ means, handing over a bundle and hoping like hell that one day the idea might work.
