Al Jazeera pays $500 million to shut down Al Gore's Current TV

So will Big Al spend his $100 million profit on more climate alarmism, massages with happier endings — or both?

“Al Jazeera on Wednesday announced a deal to take over Current TV, the low-rated cable channel that was founded by Al Gore, a former vice president, and his business partners seven years ago. Al Jazeera plans to shut Current and start an English-language channel, which will be available in more than 40 million homes, with newscasts emanating from both New York and Doha, Qatar.” [New York Times]

  1. I watched Al Jazeera quite a bit while I was working in the Middle East. They treat the U.S. better than CNN. And they actually seem to lie a lot less.

  2. Obama said the rich could afford more taxes–Al Gore sold before Jan.13, 2013 to avoid more taxes. How can people so stupid as to believe this breathe on their own? Lies, lies, lies and the idiots in the liberal party just go on lapping up the poison….We are doomed.
