I still don’t get it. I used wolframalpha to pull up the avg. temp for omaha nebraska, which is solidly in the middle of the ‘hot’ zone. The website is wolframalpha.com. My entry in their “computational knowledge engine” was “omaha average temperature past 60 years.” I see no incline.
Given all the ‘adjusting’ these people constantly do with historical temperature records, and with ~80% of US temperature stations not meeting minimum standards, there’s no reason to believe “362 all-time record highs” means anything in particular, to anyone.
LIberalism and climate alarmism are totally contrary to cogent thought processes.
I’ll point it out again. According to the Gospel of Global Warming itself: Localized and short term weather phenomena do not mean climate change.
Except that the believers like to throw that gospel right out the window when it’s convenient.
So ask them again, “Does localized, short term weather indicate climate”.
If they say “yes”, then ask them why they said “no” for the cold US winter two years ago (or why it’s colder than hell in Alaska this year, etc.).
If they say no, then tell them to shut the f**K up about the 2012 heat records because by their own admission it doesn’t mean anything.
If they say “sometimes” or “maybe”, then point out they obviously have no idea what they’re talking about.
These should be standard answers everytime a true believer starts into anecdotal evidence.
