The real threat is that “the legacy we pass along to future generations” is a financially and technically bankrupt planet that will not have the wherewithal to deal adequately with even current weather conditions and events, much less with what may result from climate changes (hotter or warmer) – changes that humans have zero capability to measurably influence.
