Western Energy Alliance VP Kathleen Sgamma gave terrific testimony at today’s hearing about the Pavillion, WY fracking controversy.
After reeming EPA for its junk science, Sgamma concluded by saying:
[Fracking] is vital to the supply of American energy. If we lose the public’s confidence and cannot continue to develop oil and natural gas in the United States because of unfounded rumors and invalid science, America will deprive itself of significant job and economic growth, and will continue to import energy from unfriendly nations.
She is stating what many of us in the industrial environmental community have known for years. The only science in the EPA is political science and facts just get in the way.
