Sorry, but Michael Fumento wrote “Science Under Siege” about junk science-fueled alarmism 16 years ago.
China Daily reports:
A stark theme emerged from an annual scientific get-together in Vancouver: the world must be helped to believe in science again or it could be too late to save our planet.
Science is “under siege,” top academics and educators were warned repeatedly at the American Association for the Advancement of Science summit as they were urged to better communicate their work to the public.
Scientific solutions are needed to solve global crises from food and water shortages to environmental destruction “but the public now does not understand science,” US climate change activist James Hansen told the meeting… [Emphasis added]
Scientific solutions? To what problem? Prove it.
“Scientific solutions are needed to solve global crises from food and water shortages to environmental destruction”
Sorry, I just realized that I don’t know what a “scientific solution” is. Or
why a scientific solution would be better than other solutions.
Science isn’t under seige, the truth is, but it is under seige from the climate hysterics. If the climate hysterics announced that they would abandon the social agenda that hides behind the alleged environmental catastrophe, they would probably get a better hearing. The science debate would not go away, but it could be conducted without the shadow of hidden agendas by the left.
