The Financial Times offers it solution to climbing U.S. gas prices.
The Financial Times closs its editorial “America’s rising petrol prices” with:
… Now is the perfect moment to debate what kind of energy economy would best serve America’s national interest. The US is entering a new era of choices. Should it phase out coal? Should it set the global standard for renewable energy? Should it regain leadership on climate change?…
The FT implies the answers to all three questions are “Yes, yes and yes.”
But how phasing out coal, embracing expensive and unreliable sources of electricity and promoting global governance will reduce the price of gasoline is anybody’s guess.
Doesn’t have to make sense. It’s the mob thrusting fists in the air with “yes! yes! yes!”.
