Gutless: House GOP asks Homeland Security to review EPA air rules

While EPA is an energy security problem, we doubt Janet Napolitano is the answer.

House Republicans have written to the Department of Homeland Security asking them to opine on the threat the EPA’s Cross-State Air Pollution Rule, Utility MACT and its other anti-coal-fired utility rules pose to energy security and reliability.

If Janet Napolitano survives the fit of laughter she is sure to have upon reading the letter, she will tell Congress what the Obama administration has already told it — i.e., to get lost.

The House GOP has the power to stop the EPA. It must stop looking to others. It must do the hard work necessary on its own. It must act now. Anything less will be failure.
