Newt Gingrich told WGIR-AM radio host Paul Westcott that he regretted appearing in a pro-cap-and-trade TV ad with Nancy Pelosi. Gingrich said:
“Oh sure, look, I was trying to make a point that we shouldn’t be afraid to debate the left, even on the environment. But obviously it was misconstrued, and it’s one of the things I probably wouldn’t do again.”
But in the ad, Gingrich said,
But we agree that our country must take action to address climate change. if enough of us demand action from our leaders, we can spark the innovation we need.
Watch the ad (below) and see if you can hear Gingrich saying or even implying something about “debate.”
Romney is another “conservative” Republican that subscribes to the AWG lunacy. Also Chris Cristie, Governor of New Jersey, who recently prohibited any new coal-fired power plants in New Jersey. I would not vote for either in a primary election against other Republicans, but would be forced to vote for them in an election against Obama and his Democrats.
Neut lost me with that ad, what a disappointment he has been.

I don’t know about the USA, but in XX Century Russia the climate changes from cold to warm and vice versa were occurring with “suspicious” regularity, every 30-40 years.
Winter 1941 was very cold (which helped to achieve a great victory over German Army near Moscow). The Winter 1973 was extremely cold again, it was 44 degree Celsius in Moscow (I can’t even describe to you how bad it was). Then roughly at the beginning of the XXI Century, it was again very cold in Moscow as I heard from my elder daughter who still lives in Moscow.
Everything in between was warm and hot.
Which makes me to come a conclusion that Americans are constantly fed by Liberal slops regarding “man-made” Climate changes. It’s as “man”made” as solar protuberances…
Well, have you looked at any real science–e.g. history of climate changes? One cyclic behavior is cold into classical Rome, warm into “dark ages” from around 600 to 900AD. The Medieval Warm preceded the “Little Ice Age from 1300 to 1850, followed by recent warmer times almost as warm as 1000 years ago. I don’t see much about these known, changes known from human history in comments about the slight warming in the last few decades, the misoneism from alarmists. AND what about the four ice ages in the last half million years. I want to drum these known climate changes bigger than the terrible 20th century, and known unrelated to fossil fuels. The recurrence has been established for decades. Such changes will recur because they have natural cycles unrelated to fossil fuels. Known written human history shows cycles before us. Geologic history shows longer and larger cycles in climate. Note that this isn’t politics, and that it has been known for decades. For a long time now I have been thinking Newt is turning into a liberal in conservative clothing.
Like all the beltway rinos, Newt has been drinking that Patomac soup too long. It “liberalizes” the brain cells, which if they are past 40, are liberal forever.
Very disappointed in Newt, but this is a regular occurrence for him related to the environment. He is also a huge supporter of “Big Corn” ethanol and bio-fuel subsidies.

The problem with Gingrich is that he thinks he’s the smartest person in the room no matter where he is. He believes he can out-smart the Dem’s and they use it against him repeatedly
That ad was the last straw for Gingrich. He’s off my agenda permanetly. A complete dupe and buffoon.
