The real energy crisis…

This excerpt from a ClimateWire story (“Carbon Capture: Consultants help companies tap into stimulus dollars,” July 17) describes the real energy crisis:

Take the case of Joe Tondu, president of Tondu Corp., an independent power generator looking to construct new plants.

Tondu said his firm couldn’t build coal plants because no one would approve its permits, and it couldn’t build carbon-capturing coal plants because their costs remain too high.

When the company struck out to invest in renewables, it met another roadblock: To get stimulus funds from the Department of Energy, Tondu would have to get an environmental impact review for each project. That would have offered local interests “a huge opportunity to stall your project for years and years and years,” he argued, and it ultimately derailed the company’s plan.

“It’s almost unbelievably easy to slow down … it created another hurdle we just couldn’t get through,” he said

We’re not running out of energy. The crisis is being caused by the government and greens who have choke-holds on the ability of businesses to produce energy.

  1. “The “greens” don’t want to “protect the environment” — they want to exterminate you. Many of them have stated this explicitly over the years.”

You mean “greens” like those at VHEMT?

Voluntary Human Extinction Movement (VHEMT, pronounced “vehement”) is a movement not an organization. It’s a movement advanced by people who care about life on planet Earth. just a bunch of misanthropes and anti-social, Malthusian misfits, taking morbid delight whenever disaster strikes humans. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Voluntary human extinction is the humanitarian alternative to human disasters.

We don’t carry on about how the human race has shown itself to be a greedy, amoral parasite on the once-healthy face of this planet. That type of negativity offers no solution to the inexorable horrors which human activity is causing.

Rather, The Movement presents an encouraging alternative to the callous exploitation and wholesale destruction of Earth’s ecology.

As VHEMT Volunteers know, the hopeful alternative to the extinction of millions of species of plants and animals is the voluntary extinction of one species: Homo sapiens… us.

Each time another one of us decides to not add another one of us to the burgeoning billions already squatting on this ravaged planet, another ray of hope shines through the gloom.

When every human chooses to stop breeding, Earth’s biosphere will be allowed to return to its former glory, and all remaining creatures will be free to live, die, evolve (if they believe in evolution), and will perhaps pass away, as so many of Nature’s “experiments” have done throughout the eons.

It’s going to take all of us going.

Gee, really pulls at your heart strings doesn’t it? (sarcasm)

Seriously, though, even as sick as these folks are, I support their right to think and believe whatever they please, same for everyone else, including myself.

And my belief is one that if they are sincere, and actions really speak louder than words, then they should do the logical thing, stop bawling, and eliminate themselves from the equation.

Other quasi-religious death cults, those such as the Applegaters, weren’t calling for extinction of the human race, as numerous voices in the Green cult are, they simply had the much more modest goal of eliminating themselves. So when the magic day came, they donned their best shower caps and new tennis shoes, mutilated their genitals, then offed themselves hoping to catch a ride to a better world on that crazy space ship hiding behind the Hale-Bopp Comet.

No doubt the Greens and Applegaters obviously employ the same twisted self-delluding thought processes to formulate their theories, the big difference between the two cults, one of the only differences for that matter, outside the fact that the Greens don’t just want themselves gone, they want all of us gone, is in the end it’s very hard to doubt the Applegaters sincerity.

Not so with the Greens, any sincerity on their part is highly questionable.

So at this time elevating the Green death cult’s deserved respect status to the Jonestowner/Applegater level, in my opinion, is unwarranted and would be ill advised.

Until they make some at least feeble effort to advance, it pretty much leaves them at the bottom ranking of the historical respect ladder, many steps below prostitutes and con-artists like Bernie Madoff, far below them, way down on the very bottom, just below politicians and lawyers.

In conclusion, despite the endless flood of manipulations, frauds, hoaxes and lies the Green cultists try to pass off as fact, it’s not like they’re always wrong. In fact , sometimes they are spot on, as with VHEMT’s claim that they are:

“not just a bunch of misanthropes and anti-social, Malthusian misfits, taking morbid delight whenever disaster strikes humans.”

So true, unlike the average run of the mill sociopath, most whom are rumored to be of slightly above average intelligence, the Green sociopath deserves special distinction for doing the opposite, and displaying an unbelievable talent, in addition to the standard moral retardation skills shared by all members of the greater sociopath community as a whole, to also function as an absolute mental retard.

  2. The “greens” don’t want to “protect the environment” — they want to exterminate you. Many of them have stated this explicitly over the years.

For decades now, the American people have given the environmentalists the benefit of the doubt, by assuming that their intentions were good even if their methods were not. Some are now waking up to the fact that this assumption is false — that the environmentalist’s intentions are rotten to the core and a threat to our very existence.

Whether sufficient Americans realize this in time to prevent us from committing economic suicide through something like “cap-and-trade” remains to be seen. Without having much evidence to back it up, I am somewhat hopeful that an enormous backlash is building against both the environmentalists and the swarms of Obama-inspired looters that have descended on Washington.

Believe it or not, it is important that all of you that oppose the environmentalists and Obama call your Congressional representative and both of your Senators and let them know how you feel. Be polite and respectful, but tell them you are not prepared to be reduced to third-world poverty, shivering or sweltering in the dark, just to appease these green goons, just as you are not prepared to see the last of our economic freedoms taxed out of existence to support Obama’s ridiculous government takeovers of our economy.
