Schwarzenegger surrenders on Cal. drilling

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s legislative proposal to revive offshore oil drilling went down to ignominious defeat as the California Assembly stripped the provision from a budget bill drafted to close the state’s $26 billion budget, reports Greenwire.

And to think that last year at this time, some were crowing about how an agreement with the greens had been reached to revive California drilling.

  1. Petroleum products from outside the state, their nuclear waste stored outside the state, taxpayers’ funding from outside to pay for their state government, etc. I hope I’m still around when they want those of us outside California to chew their food for them.

  2. Funny how the golden eggs are right within reach but they insist on bludgeoning the golden goose to death.
    Stupid is as stupid does.
